Sulfate Free Shampoo

Natural Hair Care

Sulfate Free Shampoos - Why Use them? Sulfates are used in many shampoos to produce a lathering affect and clean the hair. However, if your hair is damaged, dry, or chemically treated, these sulfates can cause breakage and hair loss. The reason is because harsh sulfates actually strip the hair, leading to dryness. Dryness leads to decreased elasticity and breakage. One common sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, is known to cause eye irritations, skin rashes, hair loss, scalp scurf similar to dandruff, and allergic reactions. However, you will probably find it on the ingredient list of most of your shampoos. Other harsh sulfates include:
Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate
TEA Lauryl Sulfate
TEA Laureth Sulfate
Our all natural, sulfate free shampoo contains NO SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE.

What about other sulfates?. In addition to the four sulfates already mentioned, there are other, less harsh sulfates. These are generally safe for dry and chemically treated hair; however, our shampoo does NOT contain any of these sulfates either. These sulfates include:

PEG 80
Polyoxethylene Fatty Alcohols
Sorbitan Laurate
Decyl Polyglucose
Cocamidoprpyl Betaine
Sodium Laureth Sulfate
Sodium Myreth Sulfate

Our all natural, sulfate free shampoo contains NO SULFATES AT ALL.

Will this Sulfate Free Shampoo Still Clean My Hair? Yes, Our shampoo uses organically-based emulsifiers with a base of Aloe Vera gel, taking advantage of its renown for healing and moisturizing. It has a rich lather and a light, refreshing scent.
